We Served.

The Asian American Veterans Archive exists to preserve and share the individual stories of Asian American men and women who served in the United States military. Each story stands alone — a testament to personal sacrifice, courage, and the complex experience of serving a country that has not always embraced them.

From the Japanese American soldiers of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team who fought while their families were interned, to Vietnamese American refugees who returned to Southeast Asia in uniform, these stories deserve to be remembered.
